Fashion Group International of Dallas (FGI Dallas), a local chapter of the global, non-profit professional fashion organization Fashion Group International, is thrilled to announce its annual Night of Stars Gala on Friday, Nov. 9 at the historic Adolphus Hotel in the Main Street District of downtown Dallas. This year’s event, themed “There Are No Rules,” will celebrate fashion risk takers across the world. The evening of glamour and excitement will start at 7 p.m. and honor individuals and business leaders for their contribution to fashion and related industries in the form of highly coveted Career and Lifetime Achievement Awards. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit the FGI Dallas Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships to fashion students in Texas and surrounding states.
“We’re thrilled that our Chairperson, Heidi Dillon, has taken the event to a completely different level this year. The name of the evening’s gala, ‘There Are No Rules’, will focus on the unbelievable creativity of our honorees. It will certainly be a night of surprises.”
The 2018 Night of Stars honorees include English fashion designer Zandra Rhodes for a Lifetime Achievement Award, LA-based ready-to-wear designer Johnson Hartig of LIBERTINE for his Career Achievement in Fashion, one part of Dallas-based design firm Ten Plus Three’s dynamic design duo Gonzalo Bueno for his Career Achievement in Interior Design, and the “queen of the green skincare movement” Tata Harper for her Career Achievement in Beauty (Forbes). It will be hosted by James Aguilar, Fashion Director at Modern Luxury Dallas.
The 2018 Night of Stars Gala is sponsored by Gonzalo Bueno, Heidi and Bill Dillon, Park Place Dealerships, El Centro College, Tootsies, Dallas Market Center, and PaperCity Magazine.
