Fashion X Dallas 2017 brought Noir-clad fashion lovers together in a social runway event like never before. Celebrating ts fourth year in Dallas, Founder Matt Swinney and the FxD team put on a fashion show with a twist: you can talk, walk, and sip during the event. Condensing the usual three-night event to a one-night blowout, the FxD team definitely succeeded with a packed house and rave reviews. The event was held at Sixty Five Hundred, an open-floor modern loft that allowed guests to watch the fashion shows, take pictures, grab a drink or a KIND bar (yum!), and shop the pop-up shops.
The revamped concept consisted of one night packed with action from 15 runway designers including Project Runway stars Korto Momolu and Amanda Valentine,Meroki, Don Murphy, Ferrah, Abi Ferrin, Chasity Sereal, Bentley + Lace, House of Cynthia, Brittany Nicole, Vaeward, Vendals, Silk Threads by Ruby Bhandri, Noha Raouf and Modish & Swank. Capsule collections from Sydney Morris, La Lo La Clothing, Amberleaf, Tashumbra, Colt Collections, Dalina Ford Swim, Daniel Hinojos and Ca$hmere Mafiiia were also included. Take a look through the slideshow for the best looks from each designer!
A special and exciting moment presented itself when Bernina, a presenting sponsor, awarded the Houston-based designer also Hurricane Harvey Survivor Chasity Sereal with the Bernina Fashion Fund which equipped her with a BERNINA 560 (B 560) sewing machine valued at $3,399. Fashion X Dallas "NOIR" beneficiaries were Every Girl Deserves (EGD) Foundation and the Fashion Group International of Dallas. Every Girl Deserves supports selected designers whose talents have earned an invitation to showcase at major events, such as New York Fashion Week and Fashion X including materials, travel, entry fees and more.
