With all of the new development in The Shops at Legacy area, it was only a matter of time for a music-centric restaurant to pop up, but The Brixton brings so much more to the table. A tasty and inventive menu, fun drinks, and an atmosphere akin to The House of Blues are just a few. Combine that with a Top Chef in the kitchen and philanthropy? Slam dunk. A welcome break from the makeshift stages often found in suburbia, The Brixton features a state-of-the-art sound system and aims to be the 'night out on the town' just a skip and a hop away from the million-dollar homes near the area. The Brixton is Hard Concept's newest culinary creation, featuring Chef Patrick Stark, celebrated in the Dallas community for opening Sundown at Granada, where he introduced Dallasites to a 99.5% non-GMO menu.
The Grand Opening of The Brixton is scheduled for Friday, June 23 with live music by Awesome Sauce starting at 9pm. Small bites seen here will be available, and I highly suggest the Lobster Flatbread. Like all of their flatbreads, it's gluten free and surprisingly filling! DJ Serious will be spinning tracks from midnight till close with some amazing specials on their inventive drinks!
On Saturday, June 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., The Brixton is hosting The Taste of Sound. Attendees will have the chance to give back to their local community while experiencing new food, music and art. Stark says on the event, "The idea behind The Taste of Sound is to stimulate human senses through different types of art. It will give everyone a chance to make new friends, wake up their senses, take away some valuable knowledge, and truly perform the art of ‘breaking bread’.” The music provided by the band Amusé, led by Leslie Austin (vocals) and Chef Patrick Stark (lead guitar), will play six sets of songs to complement each course. As the chef serves one of the courses to guests, they will be asked to be blind-folded as an exciting way to enhance the taste of the food. View the menu below and purchase tickets here!
